Join Arapahoe Park on Kentucky Derby Day, May 7, to watch and wager on The Run for the Roses.

  • Admission is free. Clubhouse Tables can be purchased for $10 and Boxes for $20 with reservations being accepted starting at 9 a.m.
  • There will be a buffet in the Director's Room for $20.
  • The racetrack will host several Kentucky Derby parties with hat contests and more
  • Winning Touches Equestrian Gifts will be stocked with Kentucky Derby merchandise and memorabilia.
  • Gates open at 8 a.m. Post time for the Kentucky Derby is at 4:34 p.m. MDT.

Arapahoe Park will also be open for the Kentucky Oaks on Friday, May 6, beginning at 8 a.m. Post time for the Kentucky Oaks is at 3:49 p.m. MDT.

Gates Open at Arapahoe Park

  • Through the eyes of a jockey, the gate crew, and cross country using GoPro cameras, as well as the oldest horse racing video from the Library of Congress from 1897 using the moving picture technology of Thomas Edison.
