MILE HIGH FUTURITY TRIALS
Of the 54 2-year-old Quarter Horses competing in six trials to the Mile High Futurity on Friday at Arapahoe Park, Wanting to Win clocked the fastest 400-yard time of 19.964 seconds in winning the first trial, which also produced finalists Fabulous Ocean, Bobcat Flats and Tyme for a Corona.  Wanting to Win had previously finished second in the Cherry Creek Futurity at Arapahoe Park on June 17.  Notable finalists also include Built Tuff Enough, the winner of the Rocky Mountain Futurity at Arapahoe on July 15, and Blue Eyed Visions, a winner of three in a row at Arapahoe after defeating Built Tuff Enough in the second trial that produced three finalists.  The 10 fastest qualifiers for the finals on Sunday, August 19, are below.

MILE HIGH DERBY TRIALS
Trainer Jaime Dominguez saddled five horses in Friday's trials to the Mile High Derby and qualified four for the finals with Taras Secret, Galion, Yourjockeystofat and Zoomin Streak.  Hooray Cowgirl picked the perfect time to collect her first career win in her 12th lifetime start as she posted the fastest 400-yard qualifying time of 19.739 seconds among the 36 3-year-olds in four trials.  Rocky Mountain Derby winner Block N Tackle and Lucille Rowe Derby winner Baby I Like It also qualified for the finals.  The 10 fastest qualifiers and information about the finals on Saturday, August 18, are below.
